Every year we find new networks for hundreds of brokers, and one of the benefits for us is that this brings with it masses of feedback from people leaving networks. Obviously a lot of this feedback is quite negative since it everything in the garden were rosy, these brokers wouldn’t be leaving, but at the same time this information is a great way of spotting major problems and trends. We look at it this way, if a broker leaves a network because he says they are not paying his commissions on time (or at all), it’s quite possible that this is a mix up or a communication problem, in exceptional cases it’s even possible that the brokers expectations are unreasonable (although getting paid for what you do seems pretty reasonable to us). On the other hand, if the last twenty brokers coming from ABC network all say that they are leaving because they are not getting paid, then that strongly suggests that ABC network have a huge cash flow problem (whatever they are telling everyone!).
